This Week’s Updates (March 1st)
Orders Manager Enhancements
One of our main focus areas has been the Orders Manager. This week, we’ve been testing and refining the Add/Edit Products functionality. Our goal is to ensure that users can easily modify their orders with an intuitive interface that not only supports current needs but also paves the way for future enhancements. Although we’re still in testing, the progress has been promising and sets a solid foundation for the next steps.
Status Posting to Instance Feed
Another exciting update is the new capability to post statuses directly to the instance feed—our “Promo Company” feature. This functionality will allow you to share and track important order updates in real-time, making collaboration smoother and more transparent. We believe this feature is a significant step toward creating a cohesive user experience.
Presentations: Bridging Order Data to Client Proposals
Perhaps the most compelling update is our work on Presentations. We are working hard to enable the seamless creation of presentations directly from the order data.
This feature is not just about automating the process; it’s about creating a dynamic tool where a sales rep can generate a tailored presentation—a web page showcasing a curated selection of products based on a client’s proposed budget. The client can then review the presentation, comment on individual products, and effectively communicate their interests directly back to the rep.
Our Vision for the Order Module
At its core, the Order Module is being developed as a base MVP. Here’s what we’re aiming for:
- Order Creation: Users will be able to create orders effortlessly.
- Automatic Flow of Details: Once an order is created, its details will automatically flow into various statuses:
- Presentation
- Estimate
- Sales Order Ready
- Code Reusability: The products added by users will be smartly integrated across these statuses, ensuring consistency and reducing redundancy in our codebase.
The end goal is to have a unified system where every step—from order creation to the final sales order—is interconnected, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual input.
